I am finally getting ready to cut into my hard fought stash of one of my most favorite line of fabrics ever: Anna Maria Horner's long out of print Bohemian. I now have every print in the line (with the exception of one, which I think will soon be on it's way to me from another Bohemian fanatic). Thank you Miss Sarah!
Yes, I know I've shown you these before but the last photos I took were really awful and I wanted to capture these before the slicing commences! Not that these pics are great by any means, but I am working really hard on taking better images. Mark got us a really nice Nikon when Lucy was born, which helps, but I really struggle with photography. Maybe add those lessons to the long list of knitting, crocheting, yoga, sushi making.....the list goes on and on.
OK, back to business. Here's a close up of this yummy goodness:
Cathedral circles, vines, paisleys oh my! Just looking at these brings me to my happy place.
Do you love these too? Would you cry rivers of joy if you could get your hands on these? It seems like Bohemian madness has hit the fabric loving community and these are all to hard to source, so I want to share! I will be giving away a fat quarter stack of each of the prints below!
I have a pretty good idea of the quilt I would like these to become (I'm thinking something hexy or circular), but I'd love to hear all your ideas too! So in order to enter the running for a fat quarter of each of these 15 prints, please leave me a comment on the type of quilt you'd like to see this collection made into. If you become a new follower, you get a second chance to enter, and if you are already one you get a third (Please remember to leave a comment for each entry you are eligible for).
I will close the comments for the giveaway on Friday, April 2nd at 5 PM Western time. Good luck and Happy Sunday!!
What a great giveaway! I think this fabric would look great cut up into diamonds, maybe with some solid fabric as sashing.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm a follower.
ReplyDeleteLove this fabric. I think a quilt along the lines of the pattern developed by mods for Tula pink's fabric line nest would show it off.
ReplyDeleteI just became a follower.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a cathedral windows quilt? Hmmmm...
ReplyDeleteWow, I don't think I've ever seen the whole collection put together! I'd love to see this in Anna Maria's free pattern for the Bohemian collection with the diamonds! Nice big cuts to showcase each print! =)
ReplyDeleteI am also a follower! Thanks for the chances to enter! =)
ReplyDeleteAlready a follower :)
ReplyDeletewow! I mean WOW! What a wonderful stash of yumminess. Whatever you whip these babies up into is going to be stunning. I love Amy Butlers Sexy Hexy Love quilt pattern which you can grab for free here http://www.amybutlerdesign.com/pdfs/Sexy_Hexy_Love_Quilt.pdf

Still following!
ReplyDeleteWell I think you hit the nail on the head with hexies. I think that would beautifully feature each print just enough.
ReplyDeleteI have already been a follower as well.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what kind of quilt, mostly because I'm new to the quilty thing. I'd figure something out - they're gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteHow about a Drunkard's Path? You can practice stitching up curves. They are really fun to make and endless possibilities. Also goes with the theme of the Cathedral print.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I very much would cry RIVERS OF JOY if I won this! I am a HUGE AMH fan, and it's been a while since I had any of the Bohemian prints to play with. I think I would probably make a Dresden plate quilt of some sort so it would showcase all of the prints so well. Oh, please, please, please pick my name! I would make you proud!!! :) (And thanks for hosting such a great giveaway.)
ReplyDeleteWoah! I am an AMH freak, but truthfully haven't seen much of this line. It's so interesting to see how her collections have all built on one another. I love the colors of the cathedral print in this collection!
ReplyDeleteI say go with circles. Big circles - possibly cut into 4 quadrants, 4 fabrics per circle (hmm, does that make sense?) to really show off the fabrics. I say boo to hexes just because hand sewing annoys me so much. And because I think those prints deserved to be show off! But that's just me. :)
I subscribe!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteI think a circle or New York Beauty block would showcase these prints well! Thanks for entering me again Megan!
ReplyDeleteoh my goshhhh you must have been searching for these pretty hard! go you! i think it would look great as a coin quilt! or something with triangles and some kona solids! yummers! i would love love love to win :) thanks so much for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteoh and i just followed you :)
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness, this giveaway is awesome!!! I LOVE this range! Forget rivers of joy, I'd cry oceans if I won this giveaway, and I'd probably scream the house down too! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat sort of quilt would I make with these lovelies, hmmmm, that's a tricky question. I think these awesome prints need to be used in large pieces so they can be fully enjoyed, so I think I'd make a blocky quilt. One I really love is Kaffe's Bouquet Quilt (in his Country Garden Quilts book). It has large squares with sort of trapezoid border pieces. When the blocks are joined the border pieces make stars, it's really lovely. Hopefully this url will take you to a picture of this quilt: http://books.google.com.au/books?id=DX4DwErrBpsC&printsec=frontcover&dq=kaffe+fassett+country+garden+quilts&source=bl&ots=KYGg80WVky&sig=o-0GKar0dqQ8SfLZDoQ3Ry0KJM4&hl=en&ei=SravS-3xII3i7AOcoJm-Dw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=9&ved=0CC8Q6AEwCA#v=onepage&q=&f=false
Thanks so much for this fantastic giveaway, I've got my fingers crossed. :-)
I'm following your blog. :-)
ReplyDeleteOoohhh, so pretty. I lurve AMH! All of it. I have seen some beautiful Turning Twenty quilts with some of her fabric! Plus, so easy!
ReplyDeleteI am already a follower!
ReplyDeleteLordy, lordy... you KNOW my heart skipped a beat at these!! LOL I have been crying tears of joy with just the idea of them!! I would LOVE a patchwork quilt... cause it's my fav! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance... hopefully i'm the lucky duck!!!
xo, Heather
and you also know i'm a big fan and follower!! :)
ReplyDeletexoxo
While it might seem kind of boring, I would showcase these prints by just doing 5" squares or so of them, all jumbled up. I honestly don't think prints like this need much more than that! And I'm already a follower!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful... I would use Elisa's Backporch, only 9 pattern which is a curved piecing pattern...I've been eyeing it and the templates for some time!
ReplyDeleteThis is my second entry saying I'm already a follower!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower!
ReplyDeleteI am a not new follower so here is entry #3, thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love them, never seen them before! I think they would be awesome for jaybird's hexagon quilt along with some nice solids or even a black! Thanks for a generous give away!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I am a follower!
ReplyDeleteI want to see you do a circle quilt.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.

ReplyDeleteI think this would be a great hexagon quilt... or maybe a log cabin... Oh I just think EVERYTHING would be cute with these fabrics!
ReplyDeleteCircle quilt. Circle quilt wins my vote.
I am so excited about this giveaway!
Wow... crossing my fingers... I'm thinking a Single Girl Quilt would be stunning... or a Dresden Plate - love those patterns, love these fabrics!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delicious giveaway! I love the idea of a hexy quilt with these, but I'd be tempted to showcase them in different sized blocks too - along with a couple of my favorite solids! Whatever YOU do, I know it will be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAnd I just joined as a follower!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a nice giveaway you go there :) I became a follower just a few short weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of one of the quilts from Denyse Schmidts book would be perfect. I'm drawing a blank at the moment of the quilts name, and I'm too lazy to go look in the book
I've been wanting to make the new wave quilt on the oh fransson website. These would be the perfect fabrics for it! Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm a Bohemian lover from way back, but I definitely don't have all the prints that you have. But, my goodness, I have enjoyed hunting them down! I fell in love with the line when I saw them made into a simple square patchwork quilt, so that's what I would probably make.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am now a 'Follower', but I have been an admirer for a long time!
ReplyDeleteI am now a follower also!
ReplyDeleteWow - generous indeed! I think one of Denyse Schmidt's new patterns would look nice - Hills n Hollers... Anyway, thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower already and I am in love with these gorgeous fabrics. I've never seen the whole collection altogether so your photos are a real inspiration, just seeing those beautiful prints stacked up there. I can see a quilt made from 8" squares, quilted crossways, mmmmm........gorgeous......... Thanks for the giveaway. P.S the quilt would be for MY bed because I don't have one yet, too busy making them for my tribe of children!
ReplyDeletex kirsty
Oh how I would love to get my hands on these! I only started sewing last June, and much like FMF, these are impossible to find!! I think a zigzag quilt would be fantastic - or a simple patchwork - I'd really want to show off the prints and not lose their amazing-ness in small block pieces!
ReplyDeleteHow incredibly fun!!
Oh - and I'm now officially a follower! Here's my second entry :) Thank you so much for the incredible giveaway!
ReplyDeletei am a follower.
ReplyDeletei would like a Chaos quilt out of this.
ReplyDeletethese are just lovely, its a great feeling when you finally chase up all of an older line!

ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI am already a follower.
ReplyDeleteOh what an amazing giveaway - I think a circle quilt would look amazing - like the tutorial on A Commonplace Life's blog!

ReplyDeletelove it
so pretty ... I can see why this is so hard to find!! What about a zig zag .. or a coin stack .. hard to choose!!
ReplyDeleteoh yeah .. I am already a follower :)
ReplyDeletei think i would do a simple block to showcase the beautiful fabrics...I have some AMH but nothing from this like...i think they woudl play well together...maybe 5 inch blocks...simple. thanks for a chance.
ReplyDeleteI follow you in my google reader. thanks!
ReplyDeletePatchwork is still my favorite. I think it shows off the fabrics and looks 'bohemian'. All of your quilts are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower!
ReplyDeleteI have been a follower for a long time!
ReplyDeleteWow! I don't think I've ever seen so much Bohemian together at once!! I would use this in something with patches big enough to show off the sexiness of the large-scale prints.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am a new follower of your blog, though I have admired your work on flickr for some time!
ReplyDeleteI think this would look awesome in big circles with solid sashing. Big circles to show off the gorgeous prints!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower but frequent reader!
ReplyDeletewow, I can't wait to see what you do with these. I would love to do a zig zag quilt with these! Just beautiful she really is a treasure that Anna-Maria!

Such a beautiful line! I forgot how many great prints are in this collection. I think they would look great in a dresden plate quilt!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...so many wonderful choices for such beautiful fabric. I love the idea of a simple patchwork, Drunkard's Path, or Single Girl. Thanks for a wonderful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am now a follower too! :)
ReplyDeletelove the fabrics - would look good in anything - something plain cos the fabrics are so good. Maybe plain squares set on the diagonal.
ReplyDeleteand i follow this great blog
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful pile of goodies! I can't believe you're willing to share after such a long battle to find them all. So generous, thank you!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you could go wrong with any pattern for these lovelies but I think they would look awesome sewn into some kind of half square triangle pattern with a natural linen as the other half of your triangles would look awesome. I think the colors and prints would really pop against the linen.
And I follow your blog :)
ReplyDeleteYou've been in my blog reader for a while now...
ReplyDeletewow, awesome prints! i'd love to do a zigzag pattern with these!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking hexies too, having just finished my first half hex quilt. But I like the zigzag suggestion, too! Or what about a string quilt?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I follow your blog.
ReplyDeletehow generous of you to share...simple squares with some solids would be enough to let these prints shine...thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI'm a recent follower...
ReplyDeleteI follow you through bloglines.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!
ReplyDeleteThis stash is just too die for!! And you are going to cut into it! And you are giving away some!
You are not only brave, but also very generous :-)
I think Hexies would be great for this!
Thanks.
And I follow you in my reader :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I just became a follower :-)
ReplyDeleteAgain thank you for this wonderful giveaway, can't wait to see this quilt sewn up.
I've just bought Denise Schmidt's single girl pattern and these would look great on that!
ReplyDeleteand I've just become a follower :)
ReplyDeletewow, those are beautiful! I think an oversized hexagon quilt would be beautiful with these fabrics.
ReplyDeletei am a follower, too
ReplyDeletei'm a new quilter (and am just learning about this long out-of-print line) and would LOOOOOVE to see these a quilt with circles!!! so awesome!!!
ReplyDeletei'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteWOW! What an incredible giveaway! I think these prints deserve some larger cuts so you can enjoy more of the print. A simple, large squares patchwork would be gorgeous and celebrate the beauty of the prints.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteI've been a follower of your beautiful blog for a while! I enjoy seeing what you are working on!
ReplyDeleteI would make a liberated log cabin of some sort. The fabrics are just beautiful. Thanks for being so generous!
ReplyDeleteI have become a follower! Can't wait to see what you make with these fabrics.
ReplyDeletewow. so generous! i think i'd love to see this cut into 2.5 inch squares and put together very scrappy.

Drool.....
ReplyDeleteOkay, now that that's done with..oh wait...there's more drool....
Okay. I love the idea of seeing these done up in Amy Butler's newer quilt pattern Sexy Hexy. You can find it on her site. The hexes are quite large and look machine strip pieced. It would really give you a chance to show off the fabrics and blend them all together. I'm sure whatever you do will be beautiful.
What a beautiful stack!! Keep the pieces big. I'm working with some of Anna's Good folks and cutting the cathedral type prints smaller really changes their look. All of these prints are so beautiful I would love it big, chunky and simple. Patchwork, or disappearing nine patch maybe?
ReplyDeleteCircles you say? I love this one: http://www.cluckclucksew.com/2009/12/raw-edge-circle-quilt-tutorial.html
Hexagons? I would do something more like this: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=31680109&ref=em than the smaller hand pieced cousins.
What a fun project. I can't wait to see what you pick!
Following! :) I've got to see what happens next.
ReplyDeleteoh and now I'm an official follower!
ReplyDeleteI love it!! Sexy Hexy would be awesome, but i also think long, random, staggered strips would contrast nicely with all the curviness. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

you know megan, i have never been lucky enough to find enough to start a collection. recently i was fortunate enough to find a couple. you know that feeling of "oh my..could i possibly find the rest of these?" i hate/love that feeling. thank you for the chance to enter though i do not understand the rules about entering. you can enter more than once? i would do a scrappy circle quilt if i were lucky enough to have them...i think.
ReplyDeletei have been a follower, is that what i am supposed to do?
ReplyDeleteI think I'd make a half-hex quilt with those beauties. Maybe throwing in a few white hexes to make them pop!
ReplyDeleteThis is great - I would do a large size hexagon quilt with these beauties.
ReplyDeleteI just became a new follower!
ReplyDeleteI would to see a hexagon quilt.
ReplyDeleteokay...i think i am supposed to say i have been a follower since before this.
ReplyDeletethese are so gorgeous! i think it would look awesome in those half-hexagons ... the really big ones!
ReplyDeleteI love AMH's fabric too dearly - the catherdral windows and the paisleys are great. I could see these in a 'New Wave' pattern from Oh Franson - the plain sashing of the pattern would set these unique prints off v. v. nicely!!
ReplyDeleteFollowing now!! Yippee!
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous giveaway! I can't wait to see what you make. Love all the ideas. I think it is such a rich colorway and lovely patterns, that large blocks showcasing the prints would rock. Like the large hexies idea. Congrats on finding all these!
ReplyDeleteI read all your posts and never realized I wasn't an official follower. and btw your photos are great!
ReplyDeleteI am loving hexagons too! I think that would be awesome with these fabrics. (and it would be awesome to win a little piece of them!) Thanks for sharing (and I'm following!)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this fabric and I, like most of the other girls, think that large blocks would be perfect for this fabric. I think if you reworked The NEW WAVE pattern by Oh, Fransson to make it a bigger quilt it would be beautiful and would show off all of the prints beautifully!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower now. Have been reading for awhile but now I'm official! :0)
ReplyDeleteI'd cry tears of joy if these ended up in my mail box. They are so lovely! I have a pair of ideas on how I would use them. I would either fo a 9 patch like the one you did witth the Good Folks fabrics or something like this: http://dutch-blue.blogspot.com/2010/03/once-in-year-moment.html, combining them with more Anna Maria goodness. Oh, the possibilities are endless!
ReplyDeleteBeen a follower for a quite a long time now
ReplyDeleteStill following...
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love them! I'd do something simple like 3 or 4 inch strips running horizontally across the whole quilt! Maybe a burnt orange-y color for the binding and a purple solid to match the purple in the prints for the backing, and with a circle of each pattern scattered all over the back in different sizes.
ReplyDeleteAnd then of course a string quilt out of the inevitable scraps!
Following you now in Google Reader. Looking forward to reading back posts!
ReplyDeleteI'm coming out of Bohemian lurkdom for your giveaway. A large hex quilt would look great and show off the larger prints. You could pair this with a matching lavender Kona solid (or two) and it would make the darker prints pop more. Thank you. mlwright29 {at} hotmail {dot} com
ReplyDeletethose are gorgeous patterns!! I have never seen these before, and I am drooling. I would have to go with something with circles...big circles. Although, large hexes would be beautiful too. No circles....most definatly.
ReplyDeleteFYI...my HST quilt only got done so fast because I wouldn't let myself work on anything else til it was done. Otherwise I knew I would never go back to it.
I am a follower...have been for awhile
ReplyDeleteWhat about doing a sort of "selvage quilt" like this: http://tallgrassprairiestudio.blogspot.com/2010/03/artistry-passion-collaboration.html
ReplyDeleteThat was you can still use the fabric that you already cut out for the circles... and the selvage pattern itself looks like circles... so you'd still have your beloved circles!
also... I don't know if it counts, but I've been following you in my Google reader for quite some time now. That you for the creative inspiration :)
ReplyDeletewait... hahaha, I just realized that I have been publicly following for quite some time now, hehe :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to see it made into the postcards quilt from Oh Frannson which i just LOVE!
ReplyDeleteOh and I've just become a follower!
ReplyDeletewow - I would kill for some bohemian (ok, not really - that's a little extreme)
ReplyDeleteI think a grandmother's flower garden would be awesome. But I also really like the hot mess you don't like!!! Seriously, I do, I mean it. I can see it all quilted up in circles and looking like the quilt of an Indian Princess.
I cannot believe you're sharing your hoard. Wow. Wow. Wow!!!!
And I'm following you...like a crazy stalker lady.....
ReplyDeleteI think a simple squares quilt Or a tumbler quilt would be great to feature the fabric.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! This is beautiful fabric. I recently got this Charm Bracelet pattern, and I think it would be a good way to showcase this fabric.
ReplyDeletehttp://kateconklindesigns.blogspot.com/2010/01/charm-bracelets.html
I'm a new follower. Looking forward to checking out your blog!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous giveaway! These fabrics would make an awesome quilt. Love the colors. Thanks for entering me.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I am a follower :-)
ReplyDeletewhat about a crazy nine patch?
ReplyDeletefollowing now!
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous giveaway! I'm pretty new to quilting, but I've been wanting to do a wonky log cabin quilt and I think these would be fun to do that with!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower!
ReplyDeleteI think these would be awesome with Amy butler's sexy hexy pattern--the prints are just screaming to be showcased!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway. I would like to try a pattern with circles. Love the fabrics I have just started my interest in sewing and quilting I haven't seen these.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! Please count me in! Circle quilt.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics
ReplyDeleteI think you should make something with big accent pieces to show off the lovely prints! Good job & good luck!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great giveaway! I think I would make bento boxes.. wonky ones! Can't wait to see what you come up with! I'm a new "follower" by the way too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic giveaway...those fabrics are just BEAUTIFUL. I'm not sure what I would make with them...I'd have to 'fondle' and 'play' with them awhile first. Thanks for the opportunity at such a great prize!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway, I only ever had a couple of these way back when. I would love to try the free diamond pattern on AMH website with these!!!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh - I think these would like great in a zig zag quilt. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm now a follower - great blog!
ReplyDeleteI put in my vote for Amy Butler's Sexy Hexy quilt (free pattern on her website); these prints are so rich and gorgeous I'd hate to cut them into too-small pieces. Can't wait to see the finished quilt and thanks for the chance at the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLovely fabrics! I just got a new quilt pattern (Summer Sorbet) from Carolina Patchworks http://www.etsy.com/shop/CarolinaPatchworks I think it'll be a great pattern for these gorgeous fabrics! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would do something stripey or with big squares. Nothing too exotic, so that the fabric can show. The fabric is quite beautiful, thanks for the opportunity to win it all.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome giveaway....crossing my fingers and toes. Hmm...I think squares, solids and the AMH prints to showcase each beautiful design. At least, those are my thoughts right now:) Thanks for being so generous!
ReplyDeletejodym7@yahoo.com
wOw these fabrics are too yummy for words!! I have been wanting to make a disappearing nine patch.... or would that cut them up too much?!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a generous give away! you are amazing!

Oh, what wonderful fabrics! I'd want to showcase them all, so I'd probably do some thing like square in a square or box or something. I'd want each one showcased on its own. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower...
ReplyDeleteOh, Boy that's a hard question... any thing you make would be beautiful... but, big and bold comes to mind... what great fabric... good luck and show us pictures when it's done..
ReplyDeleteI think I would make Amy Butler's Sexy Hexy pattern with this fabulous fabric! Oh how I love Anna Maria!!
ReplyDeleteI'm also a new folower on google reader and am so excited I found your blog!
ReplyDeleteA dresden plate pattern or a windmill patterned quilt
ReplyDeleteI think simple "framed boxes" would be great to showcase this gorgeous fabric.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! These are scrumptious. I could see these in circles ~ random sizes ~ random placement.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win.
Carolyn
I'm a new follower too.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn
I am so with you on the hexies, I think it would be fabulous! I saw at least one other person threw it out there, but Amy Buter's sexy hexy would be so cool :) Good luck cutting into that goodness! Cutting is so hard sometimes...
ReplyDeleteI would love to see it in a random style. Something where nothing is the same size, but it all just flows together. Sort of a bohemian style for the prints. (wink, wink)
ReplyDeleteI would make a quilt with framed boxes using some coordinating solids. I just found you and I'm excited. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteThese would be great cut up into large hexagons!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower now. Can't wait to see what you do with this awesome collection!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely use the Merry-Go-Round pattern by Sandy Klopp! It would be so wonderful in that fabric.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a spiderweb quilt....or log cabin with very large blocks.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! Being fairly new to the quilting world, I don't have a pattern in mind. I do think the pieces should be large enough to really showcase the prints, though.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower now!
ReplyDeleteLarge diamonds would be a great way to show off the curves and geometrics of Bohemian! Yummy colors!
ReplyDeleteJust subscribed to your blog via Google Reader! Ready for more good inspiration. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think these would make a great cathedral window quilt... what great pops of color peeking through.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know that this line exisited-I started getting AMH prints like Drawing Room, Garden Party, and Good Folks and totally missed out! Beautiful. I think I would incorporate linen and use fat quarters for a new wave string quilt (like Elizabeth's at Oh Frannsson!) And of course in a hexagon quilt!
ReplyDeleteoh and I also became a follower-I'm a wee bit overseas-come check out my blog!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen these for a while, so nice, I think big blocks with funky cut dark solid sashing would really show of the beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteI've just become a follower.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't cut this fabric to small... I like the print to much, so maybe something like brickwork or stacked coins...combined with a purple solid fabric, I think. But I'd have to see them IRL to make a good decision ;-)
ReplyDeleteGollee...how beautiful! I have NO IDEA what kind of quilt - I'm terrible at decision making. So, you could do something completely opposite of a pattern and just do random strips, rectangles, and squares of the lovelies!
ReplyDeleteand I started following your blog!
ReplyDeleteI'm now following you! As this is my first visit to your blog I'm looking forward to browsing your archives (and checking out the blogs you follow). So many beautiful pictures and ideas make my head spin!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking a stacked coin with the sashing being white to showcase the awesome fabric stash! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, how I would love these. I am another who thinks these wonderful big, busy prints would be best in simple, big shapes. Just squares, rectangles, or diamonds. Maybe some very thin solid sashing; I'd go with the dusty lavendar, or deep bottle green.
ReplyDeleteHave to stop daydreaming now, but thanks for the chance!
