Blogger's Quilt Festival!

It's time for the Blogger's Quilt Festival! This is my first entry, and one of my favorite quilts - my Flea Market Fancy Wonky Log Cabins. It's only the fourth quilt I ever finished, completed in January.  This quilt lives on our living room sofa and I just love having all that FMF out of my stash and living with us.
I quilted it on my old crappy sewing machine and now that I have my Bernina 440QE I plan to pull out the stitching and re-quilt as soon as I get brave enough!

Make sure you go to Amy's page for the quilt festival to check out all the beautiful creations!

  13. You summed it up perfectly.......the best part about making quilts is getting to curl up in the fabrics you love and see them out all the time.
Beautiful quilt. It'll be worth the extra work if you take out the stitching and redo it, but probably only you would notice anyway !

  21. Stopped by from the quilt festival....love your quilt.....keep the "crappy machine stitching" as a memento! My gut feeling is that you have many more lovely quilts in your future.....use your time on creating them instead of ripping out the stitches on this one. You know what they say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

  35. What a lovely quilt! And the quilting looks great from where I'm sitting ;-) Seriously, it is part of your quilting history now, a piece which shows where you were at the time and what you could make with the machine you had. I say, leave it as it is and go on to make many more beautiful quilts!
